Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the hoop take to ship?
All hoops are custom made so it usually takes 1-3 business days to make (depending on the numbers of orders at the time) and it is then posted through Australia post. If you are in Australia please allow 3 - 5 business days for shipping and international customers should please allow 5 - 12 business days for shipping.
What size hoop should I buy?
If this is your first hula hoop purchase and you are not sure what size to buy, measure the distance from the floor (in front of your toes) up to your belly button and that will give you an approximate diameter size. If in doubt, go bigger as you can always cut down your hula hoop and make it smaller as you progress.
Should I buy a polypro or HDPE hoop?
Polypro is suited for more advanced hoopers that already have the basics down. It works well for performers and dancers who want to do a lot of off body tricks as it is much quicker and more responsive. HDPE is still popular among a lot of more advanced hoopers as well but it is a heavier weight, making it more suited for beginners.
What is the difference between 7/8", 3/4", 11/16" and 5/8" hoops?
The size here refers to the width of the tubing. The most popular sizes are 3/4" and 5/8" hoops, 3/4" being slightly bigger than 5/8". If you are getting a bigger hoop (33" and above) it would be best to pick 3/4" tubing as the smaller tubing may be quite flimsy when doing certain moves. 5/8" tubing is super lightweight which makes it perfect for more advanced hoopers.
7/8" HDPE hoops are quite big and best suited for absolute beginners with very large hoops or people wanting to use a weighted hoop for exercise.
11/16" polypro hoops are in between the 3/4" and 5/8" sizes. It is also denser than both these sizes making it slightly heavier but also more responsive to certain tricks.
